Party Favor Items

New in the shop (or at least to the site) this month- Party Favor Items. These adorable craft kits and other small gifts are perfect for parties, either as a favor item or as a party activity! Low prices make it easy to get a cool item the kids will enjoy long past when the usual trinkets will have broken or lost their appeal, and for larger gatherings, contact us before ordering for special bulk pricing. They also make great rainy day activities or quick crafts for VBS, play dates, scout troops and downtime. Most popular so far is the Princess Mirror!

Road Trip, Baby!

You heard right, we are actually taking some time away! We will be heading to Fresno, CA to display in the Fresno BabyFest on April 22nd. While there, I will get to meet some of the amazing mamas of my Natural Family Village congo, and a few of the IPTK mamas, too! YAY! My dear friend Kristy will be here, staying with our doggie and running shop for me while we're gone. Customs will be delayed by one week, but in-stock orders will ship as normal, and when we get back, I will finish loading the new Melissa and Doug we have in, adding our goodies from Bath and Body Bliss and updating the For Customizing section to reflect new items for 2007 and discontinued, limited-stock things from 2006.

Babylegs New Inventory

We got our Babylegs order in, including some backorders from before the Holiday Season! Sara promptly snagged herself a pair of Rainbow Babylegs out of the package, but everything else is loaded and ready to keep your little one warm for the coldest parts of winter still coming!

For Families: A New Category Added!

While loading up some of the wonderful new wooden toys and games we are stocking from Melissa and Doug, I realized that we were in need of a new category for the site! Welcome the latest addition, For Families. To start with, I have stocked Classic Board Games from Melissa and Doug, including Chess, Pachisi, Backgammon and Mancala. I anticipate adding some Kid Concoctions DVD's and some books for the family from our Usborne Books at Home line in the next week or so. Of course, knowing that I have a new category to fill, I'll be on the lookout for other great things to give your family more reasons to play together!

Thank you to all of our customers for a fantastic first year on the web! We knew we were taking a leap of faith to offer our personalized gifts on-line, but we have had a blast doing it! From what was supposed to be a "little" site to offer a few of the personalized blankets and baby things we love to make, a full-fledged gift shopping site with nearly 250 items has grown instead!

We have bunches of new things on the horizon for 2007- amongst them the one I'm looking forward to the most: David, my hubby, will be a full-time work at home dad starting at the beginning of February! Besides being a welcome change of pace for him, this will give me so much more time to both work with Flutterby Designs, but also to better balance the needs of my little ones and my business *grin*.

Currently the site is loaded with only a fraction of what we actually carry in the shop, including new items we added just for our in-town shows for Holiday 2006, so watch for new items weekly, and of course, as we add, I will blog!!

New: Event Calendar

A new addition to our site, and our lives over here: Our First Really Official Holiday Shows. Yup, we are entering the wild and crazy world of Holiday Festivals this year, we have already participated in one small one in October. Our big Gala Event is November 18th and features a wild variety of woman owned business from a networking group I work with here in Denver. More details are available in the Calendar section, and I will add more to it as we line up our Open House for here at our place, too. If you are in the Denver area, by all means, come see us at one of these events!

Beads & Silver & Bells...oh my!

I'm surrounded by boxes. Yep, it's the begininng of the "Holiday Season" for my little chunk of the retail world. We are gearing up for our first Holiday Display Show, in October. My poor long suffering hubby spent yesterday (one of his "vacation" days) helping me sticker, bag and organize kid's craft kits, so two boxes are full of finished kits. Another ginormous box on the counter just came by UPS on Friday (my poor UPS guy!!) jam packed with beads, hemp, paper cord, jewelry findings, semiprecious stones, jingle bells, bracelets, craft items, foamies kits....ahhhh, heaven! Another box is full of stocking stuffer type items for the show, I'll be adding more to it over the next couple weeks. The last box is full of items to add to my newest little foray, a site devoted entirely to WAHM's businesses, with supplies that are hard to find in smaller quantities. (It is very much under construction for now, but if you want to peek.... http://www.flutterbydesignsforwahms.com) I'll write more about it next week, for now it's back to sorting items with the hindrance of my little girl...did I say hindrance? I meant help....yes, certainly, lots of HELP! *grin*
